DVPP releases a new beta edition
Dr. Alison Chapman and HCMC have released a new beta edition of the Digital Victorian Periodical Poetry (DVPP) project. Version 0.98.6beta represents many months of research, metadata collection, transcription, and encoding. It includes
- 4,024 people (poets, translators, illustrators, etc.)
- 15,661 poems from 21 periodicals
- 26,081 page-images from source texts
- 2,198 fully transcribed and encoded poems
Other new features include more sophisticated linking between related poems.
