Recent Faculty Awards and Honours

The University of Victoria English department is pleased to announce the following honours that have been bestowed upon our faculty.

Dr. Janelle Jenstad has recently been awarded a REACH Award for Excellence in Knowledge Mobilization. 

Rebecca Gagan received the Harry Hickman Alumni Award for Excellence in Teaching and Educational Leadership from REACH and the Humanities Award for Engaged Scholar for her important work as founder and director of UVic Bounce.

Dr. Stephen Ross was presented with the Dr. Suning Wang Award for outstanding graduate mentorship from The Canadian Association for Graduate Studies (CAGS).

Dr. Gary Kuchar received the Montaigne Prize from the Canadian Association of Renaissance Studies.

And finally, Dr. Ray Siemens was elected as a member of the Royal Society of Canada.
