Dr. Alison Chapman (ENSH) has been elected as one of just 101 Fellows across Canada to join the society as part of the class of 2023; she will be inducted this November, when the RSC meets in Waterloo.
Alison is being recognized for her enormous contributions to Victoria poetry, a field that cannot be discussed without reference to her and her work. Her latest project, Digital Victorian Periodical Poetry, undertaken in partnership with HCMC, was released just earlier this year in beta version. It is astonishing in scope and vision, and she has already embarked on the next phase, through her most recent SSHRC Insight grant.
