Congratulations to LGMA Scholarship Winner Alisa Thompson

Congratulations to Alisa Thompson, an undergraduate student in the School of Public Administration's Local Government Management Diploma program! Alisa is one of this year's recipients of the Local Government Management Association's Distinguished Members Legacy Fund.

The purpose of the Distinguished Members Legacy Fund is to encourage students with an interest in local government management and administration to pursue post-secondary opportunities. A scholarship is available to assist students who have a demonstrated interest in local government public service and who are accepted or are registered in a course of studies at an accredited post-secondary institution. Both full time and part time students are eligible to apply, making the scholarship available to individuals currently working in local government.

The LGMA, in partnership with the Vancouver Foundation has established the Distinguished Members Legacy Fund as a way for friends and colleagues to recognize the achievement of LGMA members who have passed away, retired, or have made extraordinary contributions to the field of local government in British Colubmia.
