MPA student, Rebecca Mersereau, to run for Saanich council
Online MPA student, Rebecca Mersereau, will run for Saanich council in the upcoming byelection. Rebecca is a water-resource management consultant who chairs the Capital Regional District Water Advisory Committee.
Former Saanich councillor, Vic Derman, who died unexpectedly in March, had encouraged Rebecca to run for council. Derman's widow, Lauraine, said he thought Mersereau would be a "principled and thoughtful addition" to council. "We're thrilled she's stepped forward to try to carry on his legacy."
