HINF faculty members as top 100 biomedical & health informatics researchers

Four of UVic’s Health Information Science faculty members were named to the top 100 biomedical and health informatics researchers in the world by the International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA). Jochen Moerhr is Professor Emeritus, Elizabeth Borycki is a Professor, Andre Kushniruk is the school director, and Denis Protti is also Professor Emeritus.

Andre Kushniruk was also appointed VP for North America and COACH representative to the IMIA, of which he is also a founding member. “We are fortunate to have someone of the caliber of Dr. Kushniruk stepping into this crucial role,” said COACH CEO Mark Cassleman, noting that Kushniruk has an impressive range of experience working globally and serving organizations in the U.S., Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, France, the U.K., Hong Kong, Japan, and Australia.
