The Jamie Cassels Undergraduate Research Awards (JCURA) program was established in 2009-2010. This year we are celebrating the 10th Anniversary.

Congratulations to Susan Martin and Dee Dee Wong, 4th year HINF BSc students, who were recipients of the 2018/19 award. Susan Martin worked with her supervisors Dr. Francis Lau and Dr. Morgan Price on a research project titled Assessing & Testing Tools to Measure Relationship – Centred Care (RCC) in Primary Care Teams. This program provides selected undergraduates students with awards of $1,500 to undertake research under the mentorship and guidance of a faculty member and present their research at the annual JCURA Research Fair.

This event showcased the work of the 2018-2019 Jamie Cassels Undergraduate Research Award recipients. Over 100 students from the University of Victoria came together to present their research posters.

The recipients of the JCURA Award have the opportunity to submit their academic poster for online publication in the JCURA poster collection and to submit an article in the Arbutus Review.
