UVic People Who Care

UVic has launched an intiative based on the 100 Women Who Care Movement named "100+ UVic People Who Care". The initiative builds on the already strong culture of philanthropy at UVic, giving faculty and staff an opportunity to donate to one (or more) of UVic's many community-based projects. The projects featured in the March 31 meeting were: 'Light up the Night' which engages youth to promote tranportation safety in the Tsawout First Nation; the Centre for Outreach Education's tutor program, and the Holocaust Archival Project. Faculty and staff attending will listen to presentations from representitives of each project, and hear back from some of the projects funded in the inaugural meeting in December.
