Parking Lot Repairs in Various Locations - Revised Schedule
Parking Lots: 2, 6, 9, 15
Facilities Management and Island Asphalt will be doing asphalt repairs and re-paving in various parking lots around campus from June to August 2023.
The revised schedule is as follows:
- July 4 – Lot 15 asphalt removal
- July 5 – Lot 15 paving
- July 5 to 10 – Lot 2 (SW) – asphalt removal. Quadrant to remain closed until Lot 2 paving on July 17. NW quadrant will be reopened.
- July 10 to 11 – Lot 2 (NE) – asphalt removal. Most of the parking can remain open. One drive aisle access and the small lane to E-hut will be closed until July 17 (the drive aisle will still be accessible from the north; alternatively, we may be able to gravel it to remain in service).
- July 12 to 13 – Lot 2 (SE) – asphalt removal, will be gravelled so delivery trucks can cross the asphalt removal area between July 13 and July 17 paving. Removal planned for Wednesday to mitigate impacts to delivery trucks.
- July 14 to 17 – Lot 2 and Lot 6 – asphalt removal. Lot 2, if any cleanup required, then Lot 6. Lot 6 removal areas will be coned off until paving but are not in critical path areas and should not prevent normal parking lot operations.
- July 17 – Lot 2 paving – all remaining quadrants (SW, NE, SE)
- July 18 to 19 – Lot 9 asphalt removal
- July 20 – Lot 6 and Lot 9 patch paving
- July 21 or 24 – Lot 9 overlay paving
