Civil Engineering panel discussion

Time: Tuesday, September 17, 2013, 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm

The Co-op Office is pleased to be hosting a Civil Engineering Panel discussion. We hope that you will be able to attend, meet the panelist, and help answer any questions related to the program. The panel discussion will occur for the first half hour followed by a social which will include some snacks.

We are pleased to have confirmed the following professionals for the panel:

Carl Miller, M.Sc., P.Eng.

Carl is a geotechnical engineer and the Vancouver Island regional manager for Levelton Consultants Ltd. He is also the Vancouver Island chair for the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies BC.

Stephen Bean, M.Eng., P.Eng.

Stephen is a geotechnical engineer and the principal and branch manager at Thurber Engineering Ltd. in Victoria. He is also the former Vancouver Island chair for the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies BC.

Greg Ovstaas, P. Eng.

Greg is the owner and founder of GOAL Engineering Ltd. Greg specializes in construction materials, with a focus on concrete. He also has a strong background in research, which he developed at the Ontario Research Foundation.  

Sarah Campden CTech, RTMgr

Sarah a senior land development technologist at Focus Corporation and founding member/current chair of the British Columbia Women in Technology (BCWiT) group. She has a diploma in Architectural Drafting and Building Technology and has  worked as a legal survey technician, GIS technician, engineering technician, technical services coordinator and most recently a project manager/contract administrator.

Andreas Haase, P.Eng., LEED® AP

Andreas is a structural engineering at Stantec.

Michelle Mahovlich, M.Eng., P.Geo., P.Eng.

Michelle is the director of Engineering at the City of Langford.
