BMED group members

UVic's newly founded Biomedical Engineering Design Team has placed 2nd place in Canada in the Innovation Design for Accessibility Competition hosted by Universities Canada for our project “The Carechanger.”  Designed for a local father, Jim McDermott, and his daughter Merial, this patented technology is able to detect and notify health care professionals of urinary void events for patients unable to signal soiled linens caused by urinary incontinence.
