Mar 12: Interviews 101
This workshop is for international students who want to practice their interview skills.
Practice your networking skills in a fun and friendly environment. The more you practice, the easier it becomes. If you want to talk with employers but you’re nervous about networking or asking questions, we can help.

March 19: Canadian Interview Skills Workshop
This workshop is for international students who want to practice their interview skills.
Are you an international student or alumni preparing to enter the Canadian job market? Feeling unsure about what employers expect in interviews? Stand out from the competition by learning the secrets to a successful job interview in Canada! Join our interactive online workshop and gain the confidence to make a lasting impression on employers.
Who should attend: UVic international students and alumni seeking employment in Canada. Bonus! Students who attend the workshop will have the opportunity to book a 1:1 mock interview with a UVic career educator. Get personalized feedback and practice your skills before your real job interview!

UVic's Digital Scholarship Commons offers a range of workshops to help you develop skills, from using Excel and coding to project management and more.
How to find inclusive employers: a panel
Do you identify as having a disability? Wondering how to find employers who value, support and recruit for specific lived experiences?
As part of Disability Employment Awareness Month, UVic's accessibility and inclusion coordinator will lead an online panel that features employers and employees from Destination Canada, BCAA and the City of Victoria.
They'll share details about their inclusive and accessible programming and the ways that they intentionally support the authentic community they serve.
Employees with lived experience will be present to provide an overview of what they expect from inclusive employers and how/if their current employer respond to their expertise and workplace needs.
